Fi el ds Of Valor Rul es
Here is a list of the rules I’ve already stated
that you should keep in mind when taking part in FoV.
?? The kills must be conned as Easy Prey
to your current level.
?? ‘Current level’ also applies if you are
in Level Sync, which counts as long as you don’t cancel mid way through or you will not get kills that count.
?? You can only take part in a regime
once per Vana’diel day.
?? Don’t forget to use your tabs on food
or buffs, it’s a great help especially at low levels.
?? The best buff is Reraise.

These training regimes have a suggested
T
level to take them on and it is ve ry important you pay attention to this as, in order for any kill to count towards your completion of a regime, it must con as Ea sy P re y.. These various regimes can see you all the up to around Lv55-60.
Upon completion of a regime you will not
only get your lump sum of bonus XP but also a number of tabs based on the difficulty of the regime you decided to do. These tabs can be exchanged at the field manuals for buffs or items. The list and costs of these buffs and items are as follows;
These will be targets to kill certain numbers of enemies in the zone (for example; 3 Goblin, 4 Pugil, etc). You will receive standard XP for the kills and then a bonus sum upon completion. An on screen prompt keeps track of how many kills you have to go.
To say that this current system of scaling
down is slightly unbalanced would be an understatement. I can’t go into detail about how every piece of equipment is scaled back from the best Auction House gear to AF1 or AF2 because it is currently all over the place.
SE has stated that they are further working
on the scaling back of higher level player equipment while Level Sync is in effect. Never the less, the current state is not so broken that you can’t function. In some cases your equipment will be better than what a player of that actual level would have and sometimes it is worse, but regardless you can still XP together with friends no matter what level they are and that is the key point to this function.

Unofficial Final Fantasy XI Guide
Le vel Sync Rul es
?? If the player who is the target of the
sync leaves the party then Level Sync is canceled, this is also the case if the party leader decides to select this or if either of those two roles leaves the current zone.
Along with the basics I just listed, here are
the essential rules of Level Sync;
?? Level Sync only stays active in the
zone it is activated in and takes effect immediately (so be careful where other members of the party might be when you activate!)
?? XP/Merits will not be gained if the
sync player is dead as the enemy is defeated, if they are too far from battle, or they have not finished any of the level cap quests related to what level they currently are.
?? All status effects (other than Signet
etc) are canceled as Level Sync is activated to avoid having high level buffs.
?? For Level Sync to take effect the target
for the sync must be at least Lv10.
?? Only the party leader can handle the
Level Sync but any member of the party can be the target of the sync.
Level Syn c Equi pmen t
?? The sync target is denoted by a red
dot after their name in the party list.
The equipment you are wearing as Level
Sync takes effect you will not be stripped of your armor or forced to go buy lower level armor to level alongside your friend.
?? /Anon cannot be used while you are
using Level Sync and a special icon next to your name will appear.
?? Death is treated as if you were the
level you have been put in sync with (I.E you will not lose a couple of thousand XP if you are really a Lv75 job who just died while in sync with a Lv20).
The armor you are wearing will scale
down with you, to the level of the sync target in the party. Certain equipment boosts (such as Haste+ etc) disappear completely.
?? If the target of the sync levels up then
everyone in sync with them will also level up stat wise.

Unofficial Final Fantasy XI Guide
LEVEL SYNC
If you’re done with gaining XP but still
A
want to play with your friends don’t worry, even if a Lv75 is reduced to Lv40 or whatever, you can still gain Merit Points instead of XP.
new and innovative method of finding and playing alongside other players went active after the
September 8th, 2008 update. This leader controlled system is meant to allow any friends of any level to party together by introducing a sort of reverse mentoring system.
This system can be used to your advantage,
in particular if you want to gain levels extremely quickly and don’t mind that your skill levels of weapons or magic might suffer as a result. Any party around about pre-Lv60 fights enemies that are lower in comparison to the IT conning enemies Lv60+. The basics of this is; if you go in Level Sync parties to, say, Garliage Citadel, or Crawler’s Nest, or another area where you gained fast levels in a decent party, you can get through levels ridiculously quickly (this is especially true if you can find power level support).
Leve l Syn c B as ics
The fundamental purpose of Level Sync is
that the party leader can set one member of the party as the target for Level Sync. Everyone else in the party is then reduced to this level in order to fight alongside each other. This is ideal if you have a lot of high level friends who you can’t wait to level with.
I’ll state once more though; if you use Level
Sync to get through your levels extremely quickly your skill caps will suffer as a result (they will not go over the cap for the level of the enemy you are fighting) and you will need to take the time to level them outside of partying. That is very important to remember if you chose this route rather than partying at your real level, but for you people hunting Merits; this is perfect..
The Level Sync menu is reached through
the party leader menu only.
The target chosen by the leader determines
the reduced level of anyone in the party who is higher, but don’t worry. If you, for example, sync your party to Lv20 and you have a Lv18 person they won’t magically go up to Lv20.

Your secondary choice of target is the
This reduces you to near enough double digits HP and lasts long enough to cause a real problem for anyone without shadows. This basically means a Paladin cannot safely fight them and even for a Ninja it might prove dangerous. Having a support member who can cast Erase is a must for fighting these really, as you can’t afford to sit around waiting for it to run out.
Lu faise Meadows
Instead of heading into the main building
you can hang a right to the east, go down a small ramp, and find an alternative entrance into the shrine. Once inside follow the right linear path to a teleport which takes you to another decent enough place to camp with a safe round room with two branching paths blocked by doors. The key here is too make sure at least one of your party remains on the far side of the door so when it closes and you need to move to the other side they can head back to the main room and open the door. This camp also only caters to Weapon enemies.
Party Level Range Lv71-75
Popularity of Zone 6/10
Requirements to Enter Chains of
Promathia
Medicines/Items None
If you are looking for further locations to
Access to this zone requires both the
try you can head deeper into the shrine. Around the zone to Celestial Nexus offers the alternative target for the zone in the form of Aura Statues. Camping where Water is farmed (an item used in End Game for God pops) is possible but since it is so contested you are unlikely to do very well there against the pot type of enemy, which is why I have not included it.
Chains of Promathia expansion and some advancement through the missions. You will know when you have access as you are dropped here when you gain access, but it’s at the start of Chapter 2 or 3. Most of the zone is aggro free for higher levels, but the area of interest for this level range has aggro so be cautious.

Unofficial Final Fantasy XI Guide
This is a sub zone to the area referred to by
players simply as Sky. To gain access to this and the other areas that are a part of Sky requires considerable progress through the Rise of the Zilart expansion (which came as standard with any version of the game other than original Japanese release). You must clear up to the point you receive the Cerulean Crystal which you can use in the Hall of the Gods (located at the top of Ro’Maeve zone) in order to use a teleport which takes you to Sky. Navigation around Sky involves avoiding lots of Magic and Sneak aggro monsters, caution C and medicines instead of spells C is highly recommended.
If you are new to Sky and its layout this
may sound more complicated than it actually is, but since it is highly unlikely you will have the maps for it or be able to follow an online one effectively the best I can do is describe the most common places to camp.
Lv 70 – 75
Camp Locations: (See Notes)
When you first enter Sky and head over to
Supported Parties: 3-6
the main island if you run straight on towards the huge spire you will be at what is referred to as the main entrance. This is where the best camp for the shrine is, giving you a branching left and right hallway filled with Weapons to kill. It is common to roam around one room killing every last enemy, then heading over to the opposite side to do the same and alternating between the two for high chains. This is best suited for one party, but two can camp here if each takes only one path each.
